A skilled control of the shape and a mastery of technique, when it comes to the twists and turns of MITIGATED METAMORPHOSIS SUITE, allowed the artist to indefinitely play with reflected light bouncing alongside a ribboned shape folding graciously into itself. By incorporating its immediate surroundings in its volume, whether it emerges seemingly weightless out of a transparent base or is anchored into a contrasting block of unqualifiable depth, it displays perfect proportions to maintain an unfathomable equilibrium.

Defying the laws of gravity, its radial balance turns the piece into a homogenous, inseparable whole, intensifying the tensile strength of the highly polished bronze. The void within, as present as the form, turns this tactile, freestanding piece into a symbolic infinity sign, a figure eight which ultimately represents the artist’s life path.

To create a perpetually dynamic shape, the organic profile of a dancing flame inevitably interacts with ambient light along its surface, constantly changing its colouring and its contours as it moves. The incorporation of a dark-smoky base where the stem disappears into the mass, gives MITIGATED METAMORPHOSIS SUITE a certain gravitas and an unexpected presence.
